30 Apr Enna – Federiciana Week
From the ninth to the 16th of May will be held in Enna Frederick’s Week. This event is now in its tenth edition and it will involve all the attractions of this medieval city, the historic neighbourhoods, schools and institutions with historical re-enactments, medieval games and artistic events of various kinds.
A perfect interaction of History, Art, Culture, Tradition, to discover the historic districts and monumental sites of the city. Various activities carried out, both day and evening, which will allow visitors to watch historical re-enactments of the time of Frederick II.
Along the streets of the old town , the parade will march in beautiful medieval clothes , will be attended by the archers came from all over Italy , who will also participate at the shooting ever National Championship archery.
Artists, musicians, flag bearers and falconers recruited from all over the Island, will make the precious frame of the parade.
As part of Federiciana Week event , they will take place also the ” Palio dei Quartieri ” , the ” Team medieval games ,” the ” historical re-enactment of the arrival of Federico II in Castrogiovanni ” ( today Enna ) , the ” parade of the court and knights ” through the streets of the neighbourhoods , various shows, flea markets and more.
Visiting Enna during the Federiciana Week means returning to the Middle Ages and relive the atmosphere of that time.
